Today, Dr. Hafiz had the pleasure to welcome Reinhard Gödel, long-time member of the supervisory board of Eintracht Frankfurt AG, chairman of the board of Kinderhilfe Organtransplantation (KiO) and former chairman of the board of VR Leasing AG.
It was a wonderful exchange about joint projects, especially in the area of Child Organ transplantation.
The shortage of donor organs, the plight of the sick on the waiting lists and the insufficient information of the public about the life-saving possibilities of transplantation once led to the foundation of the organization
Since then, it has supported transplanted children and their families in social and financial emergencies as well as with experiential educational measures.
Since 2014, FC Bayern Munich has been an official sponsor of KiO. In April 2015, FC Bayern even put its Bundesliga home game against Hertha BSC under the motto „KiO Day,“ with 13 organ transplanted children from all over Germany walking into the Allianz Arena with the Bayern pros.
