I also had the pleasure of meeting “Manni”. “Manni” is Deutsche Bahn’s new cleaning robot, which uses innovative technology to ensure greater cleanliness at Frankfurt Central Station. The new teammate can not only sweep floor surfaces, but also neutralize bacteria and viruses using ozonized water.
How “Manni” got his name is a touching story. Manfred was a beloved teammate at Deutsche Bahn in Frankfurt. When colleagues were asked to vote for a name for the autonomous vehicle, they chose “Manni” in honor of their former colleague.
